Hello, I’m Gareth Wells.

As a child of the late '80s, I was completely hooked on movies. I grew up on a steady diet of Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and The Goonies, among many others. That visually rich childhood sparked a deep passion for film, which led me to the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, where I earned a degree in DigitalScreen Arts. Shortly after graduating, I began my career as a Motion Graphic Designer. With over a decade of experience in the field, my enthusiasm and dedication have propelled me into a Creative Lead role, where I fully apply my skills from art direction to team leadership and management.

Recent career highlights are being invited to teach Motion Design at the Elstree Studios Screen Arts Academy a surreal experience that made me realize how much I enjoy mentoring and sharing knowledge with aspiring creatives. I was also thrilled to be shortlisted for the 2025 Sci-Fi London 48-Hour Film Challenge with my submission, a rewarding milestone that pushed my storytelling and design skills under pressure. Looking ahead, I’m actively exploring new AI-driven tools and techniques to expand my creative capabilities and push the boundaries of motion design into 2026 and beyond.

Over the years I’ve worked with a number of amazing clients including:

Disney, Nike, Jaguar Range Rover, Pepsi, Universal Studios, Warner Brothers and many more.
